(My mom was assaulted and robbed, and the next day, she had to babysit this kid, who was seven.)
Kid: “Why are you not smiling?”
Mom: “I am sad.”
Kid: “Aww, my mommy always does this when I’m sad!”
(The kid gave her a big bear hug and a kiss. Mom was so touched that she started crying tears of joy. The kid and her were friends for many years after, even when he grew up to have kids of his own.)
