Unfiltered Story #179725
(My co-worker, who is very clearly Middle-Eastern in appearance, and I are settling in for our morning shift. An elderly woman comes up to the counter and orders a coffee. My co-worker begins to make it.)
Elderly Woman: *looking at our pastry display* You know, you should really make a Paris cupcake. Especially you *glares at my coworker*. I think /you/ really need to make some.
Co-worker: *hands the woman her coffee* Well, ma’am, if we were to make a Paris cupcake, we would also be making a Lebanon cupcake, and one for Syria, and one for Egypt, and all the other places where innocent people — even Muslims — have been killed by extremists.
Elderly Woman: *huffs, takes her coffee and leaves without another word*
