I work for a kitchen supply call center that services several different websites. Normally when our phones ring it will say what site the person is calling from, but this call did not indicate that whatsoever.
Me: Thank you for calling (Company), my name is (name). May I have your name please?
Caller: I’d like to place an order.
Me: Okay, what site are you calling from?
Caller: California!
The call continued for several more minutes, each time with the customer answering “California!” every time I tried to figure out what site she was on.
