(I am a technician at [company name] and I usually answer the phones. I can tell when some customers are very tense and, when I’m sure it’s safe, like to play with them. I am currently on a call with a tense customer.)

Me: “What is your name again, sir?”

Customer: *says his name*

Me: “Thank you, give me a moment to input your information.”

Customer: Alright.

(Note: he can hear me typing.)

Me: *suddenly stops typing* “Oops.”

(That got a good laugh out of him, after he panicked and I explained I was kidding to him!)
