I used to manage a bookstore and one day we got a call from an older lady. She asked us if the silverware we advertised was on sale for long. I told her that since we were a bookstore we didn’t carry any silverware. She asked if we had sold out? I said again that we didn’t carry silverware and she asked if we could give her a call if we got more stock in. After a few back and forths about this, I said, “Yes of course we will call you if we get silverware in stock” She promptly hung up. Without leaving her phone number! This lady called us for the next four days asking the same question over and over.
