Unfiltered Story #157520

, | Unfiltered | July 9, 2019

(I work at a gas station. About a week prior to this incident a man was filling out several lotto slips and having me run them over the course of about 15 minutes. My coworker afterward mentioned it being rude to take up time but I wasn’t too bothered. Fast forward to the present and we are super busy and both of us have a long line when a guy who looks vaguely familiar comes up)
Man: “Can you run these, twice each?”
Me: ” Sure thing, I’ll be right back”
(His total is about $19)
Me: ” Debit or credit?”
Man: “Cash.”
(He proceeds to hand me a $100 bill, effectively cleaning out my drawer and leaving me with a few $1s. I’m kinda irked by this since I now cannot give out proper change to the rest of my customers but I I smile and count him his change)
Man: “By the way, this is for you, one of the tickets you sold me earlier was a big winner.”
(He hands me $25, and skirts out the door. I am bewildered now by the kindness of this man, and very grateful.)
