(There is a regular customer comes in with someone else nearly every day and always gets the same thing: an iced coffee with a sugar free syrup and a little milk.)
Customer 2: For some reason [customer 1]’s sugar spikes every time he has his drink.
Me: Hm, I’m not sure what’s causing that. I use the sugar free syrup.
(A couple of days later)
Me: I figured out why his sugar goes up. It’s the milk!
Customer 2: Do you have skim milk?
