Unfiltered Story #129998

(It is Christmas Eve, with very long line ups at the register. I am trying my best to keep in the Christmas spirit waiting to go home to spend the day with my family. I am saying have a Merry Christmas to everyone as they leave. One customer comes to my register with two items; a ceramic bowl and a brush.)

Me: “Hello. How are you today?”

Lady: “Hi.”

Me: “Did you find everything you were looking for?”

(No response from the customer. I quickly scan her items, and quickly wrap the bowl. It’s already in the bag finished wrapping it.)

Lady: “Can’t I just pay before you wrap the bowl?”

(I just looked at her and told her told as she shoved her card through the reader. I try to hand her bag with the receipt, she rips it out of my hand. And half way out the store as I try to wish her a Merry Christmas.)
