(I work in an upmarket shop which sells, amongst other things, high-end perfume and cosmetics. My uniform is all black, and my lanyard is embroidered with one of the high-end brand names. The workers for the hardware store I’m shopping in wear red and blue uniforms.)
Lady: Excuse me, where can I find the storage boxes?
Me: …..Ummm… sorry, I don’t know.
Lady: WHY DON’T YOU KNOW?! YOU’RE BEING VERY RUDE!
Me: I don’t actually work here…
Lady: Oh! Well… You shouldn’t be in here wearing that necklace then! *Storms off*
