Unfiltered Story #117809
The manager I was working with went on break early (probably to pick up his kids from school) and gave me the phone because our other manager was busy in a meeting with someone. I get my second phone call and pick it up:
“Thank you for calling (restaurant) at (street name). (My name) speaking, how may I help you?”
“Hi, (my name). I’m calling for <inaudible name>. Can I talk to him?”
“I’m sorry?”
“<inaudible name>? He’s a manager.”
“The only managers here are (manager in a meeting) and (manager that left early).”
“(manager that left early)…okay…this IS (auto parts store) at (major road across the river), right?”
“No, ma’am. You called (my restaurant) at (street name).”
“Oh! I’m sorry!” *click*
