(I work at a Chinese restaurant. A customer placed an order online for delivery but forgot to put their house number so I had to call them back.)
Me: hi this is (restaurant) calling, you placed an order online?
Customer: yes
Me: ok looks like you forgot to put your house number, what is your house number?
Customer: I don’t have a house number
Me: ??? You don’t have a house number??? (Que me thinking that maybe it’s a business but then realizing that there isn’t any businesses on that street and that even they have house numbers)
Customer: oh you mean the number on my house!
Me: ??????? Yea, I mean the number on your house.
