I’m about an hour into what’s promising to be a stressful day- our main till is down completely and all the others are being temperamental, we’re understaffed and I’ve had to deal with several unpleasant customers already.
Customer: Hello, how are you? Having a good day?
Me: …I’m at work, sir.
