Unfiltered Story #112829

(I work in a restaurant that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Which means holidays are mandatory to all staff members. It was Thanksgiving, I worked the morning shift and it was close for me to be leaving, and by the end of my shift I had this really rude couple come in. Being rude for absolutely no reason at all. I bring their food out and ask if they need anything else.)

Male customer: “How did you get so lucky as to work Thanksgiving? How many kids you got at the house?”

Me: “Uhm, Sir, I have no children, thank you. Is there anything else I can get for you guys”

Male customer: “Oh. No, thanks.”

(I could see the look of embarrassment on his face and for the rest of the time they tried to laugh and joke with me.)
