(I worked in an afterschool facility where we typically got children who were between 4 and 10 years of age. All of these children were participants in a developmental study. While the research staff did frequently sit with the kids to take basic measurements, the principal researcher wasn’t usually in the daycare. This day, he was there talking to someone and one of the children noticed. She was 6 years old.)

Girl: Hey, [My Name], who is that? *pointing to the head researcher*
Me: Oh him? He’s the head researcher. He’s the one [Researcher 1] and [Researcher 2] work for.
Girl: HE’S A WIZARD?!
*I have no idea where that came from. I smile and try to not laugh.*
Me: Yeah, sure, he’s a wizard. *smiling*
Girl: * runs out of the daycare before I can stop her and goes right up to the head researcher* HEY MISTER!
Head Researcher: Yes?
Girl: ARE YOU A WIZARD?
Head Researcher: *smiles* Yes.
Girl: *mouth drops open* *runs back to the daycare* HE SAID HE WAS A WIZARD!
Me: Well, you learn something new every day.
