Unfiltered Story #108227
(I work at a local grocery store in a small town. Its two days before thanksgiving so we have plenty of staff on duty for the busy week. A lady walks up to my till:)
Lady: “Why there are so many people in the store?”
Me: “Well, thanksgiving is in two day so I suppose people are getting some shopping done.”
Lady: “Oh, not them! The workers, why so many here? I don’t recognize them! They are not usually here! There not locals!”
Me: “I’m not sure what you mean by locals ma’am, like not from here? Because I’m not from here.”
Lady: “No, I mean locals of [grocery store]. You are a local! You’re usually here right?” Yaa..” I didn’t know you had so many employees!” “sorry?”
