I work in an electronics store that sells in-ear headphones.
I have had multiple customers come up to me and say “I want a pair of in-ear headphones, but I want to know how they sound. Do you have a demo?”
Me: “…no.”
Customers: “Why not?” (One couple was actually very upset with me when I told them no)
Me: “Because if we had a demo of in-ear headphones, you’d be trying on the same pair that thousands of other people have tried before…is that something you actually want?”
