Me: Okay so your total today is $40.20.

Customer: The soft drinks are on special.

Me: Yeh they’re half price. It’s a really good special isn’t.

Customer: 3 times $13.40 doesn’t equal $40.20

Me: …. Umm yes it

Customer: *blank stare*

Me: (Trying not to be rude) 3 times $13 is $39 plus 3 times $0.30…

Customer: (Mumbling) These supermarkets are trying to trick us with their pricing…
