(A senior director has just returned from annual leave. Prior to going away we’d been discussing my university studies and I’d recommended a book to him: Psychopath Whisperer.)

Director: “I thought about you yesterday.”

Me: “Oh, dear…”

Director: “There was a programme about what makes a psychopath and it reminded me of you.”

(Apparently this is a common occurrence as my partner and his line manager were also discussing me and psychopaths…)
