In March of 2016, I had a complete hysterectomy. This is of course in my medical records and my doctors are all in the same medical clinic/hospital system so can see them. This happens about a year and a half after my surgery at a routine yearly visit with my GP.

Nurse: OK, our records show you are overdue for a Pap Smear.
Me: Well, you can try, but since I don’t have a cervix anymore I’m not sure how that will work.
Nurse [looking at my record]: Oh, I see that you had a hysterectomy. OK, I will note that in the reminder.
[a few questions later]
Nurse: So when was your last menstrual period?
Me: Um, March of 2016…
