Not Shrimping Away From The Challenge
(A friend and I are meeting for supper. I let them choose the location – they opt for sushi, but don’t know a good restaurant. I frequent one near my home and we meet there.)
Me: “Do you have a specific type of sushi in mind, or do you just want me to order? I have a few favorites you might like. Is there any kind you don’t like?”
Friend: “Well, I don’t really like fish.”
Me: “You don’t like fish…? Then why did you pick sushi?”
Friend: “I like the rolls!”
Me: *laughing pretty hard now* But all the rolls come with fish!”
Friend: “Not all of them! I like the rice and the seaweed.”
Me: “Okay. So you don’t like any fish?”
Friend: “Well, I haven’t really had fish before.”
Me: “So… we’re having sushi, but you have neither tasted nor enjoyed fish before?”
Friend: “Yeah!”
Me: “Okey dokey. Crab, shrimp, and salmon for me – and chicken for you!”
