Left You Out Of Pocket
(We have been given the task to make something out of construction paper and tape that will span 12″ and hold weight. I have thought of a design that will do just that, with a pocket to hold the weights, and my group decides to build it. Within the first few minutes the teacher comes up.)
Teacher: “How’s it going?”
Me: “Good! We’re doing—” *explains design*
Teacher: “That’s great!”
(Later, our designs are being ‘judged.’ Ours comes up, and she sits there with the weights, moving them constantly over our piece but not setting them down.)
Me: “Just put it in the pocket!”
Teacher: “But that wasn’t the project!”
(And, naturally, my teammates blamed me.)
