(I just met a new friend and we’re hanging out for the second time. He’s a big fan of a particular movie that I’ve never seen, so we decide to watch it. I’m very much a cat person. A cat appears on screen.)

Me: *grabs his arm* “Does anything bad happen to the cat?”

Friend: “Uh…” *deer in the headlights look*

(Something bad happened to the cat. I covered my eyes. To this day he feels bad about it.)
