How To Work A Jerk

(In my relationship, I’m notorious for being a ‘jerk’. I never mean anything by it, and only do so because I find it funny, and it makes my girlfriend laugh. One day, I go to my girlfriend’s house to pick her up. She lives with her sister, and her sister’s girlfriend.)

Girlfriend: “Okay, I’m going out.”

Girlfriend’s Sister: “Where are you going?”

Girlfriend: “Out. Is that okay with you?”

Girlfriend’s Sister: “Alright! No need to be a jerk about it.”

(My girlfriend’s sister turns to me.)

Girlfriend’s Sister: “Hey, why are you going out with her? She’s such a jerk.”

Me: “Because I’m a jerk, too. I’m very proud of her right now.”

(Both my girlfriend and I grin at each other.)

Girlfriend: “I love you.”

Me: “I know.”

Girlfriend: “Jerk.”
