(We are taking a vocabulary quiz.)
Student: “I don’t know any of these. I’m done.”
(The student hands the teacher a blank quiz.)
Teacher: “Are you sure you don’t want to answer any? It’s matching; you might get a few right, mind you that’s better than a zero.”
Student: “Fine, whatever.” *takes paper back, brings it to the teacher a minute later* “I put “C” on all of them. I got one right.”
Teacher: “Yes. Yes, you did. Congratulations.”
