(My friend and I decide we just aren’t going to do the final essay of high school. I go to the teacher to tell her I didn’t do it, but I have a random coughing fit as I’m trying to talk.)
Teacher: “Okay, you’re clearly sick. I’ll just give you a pass on the essay instead of a zero, okay?
Me: “Okay!”
(My friend, who also didn’t do the essay and got a zero, was not impressed with me! But I didn’t do it on purpose.)
