(Today is my boyfriend’s and my fourth-year anniversary. It’s been a hectic day for both of us and I finally text him a few minutes after midnight just before I get off work.)
Me: “I forgot to say happy anniversary!”
Boyfriend: “Oh, yeah, love you.”
Me: “We fail. We both forgot.”
Boyfriend: “So, now I don’t feel so bad.”
(Since it’s too late to do anything tonight, we’re going out to lunch tomorrow to celebrate.)
