(My middle school has a strict no phones and no music policy. This is a conversation that happened between my teacher and I.)
Me: “Ms. [Teacher], can we listen to music with our phones?”
Teacher: “No, [My Name], you can not.”
Me: “Oh, okay…”
Teacher: “[My Name], please look at me. No.”
(She then nods her head indicating yes.)
