Long Distance Christmas Carol
(It’s about three in the morning on Christmas Day. Some friends are talking amongst themselves, and are a bit drunk at this point after a night out. One of the group is American and spending their first Christmas in the UK.)
Friend #1: “What shall we do?”
Friend #2: “I should call home and wish them Merry Christmas.”
Friend #1: “Isn’t it still Christmas Eve in America?”
Friend #2: “Yeah, it is! I should ring them and say, ‘It’s Christmas Day here and still Christmas Eve there, I am the Ghost of Christmas Future!'”
(And she did!)
