(I am playing Taboo with my boyfriend and a group of friends. In our team is my boyfriend, his best friend, and me. My boyfriend has started reading the cards.)

Boyfriend: “We first met near a big green—”

Best Friend: “—bridge!”

Boyfriend: “Yes! Next card: ‘Aunt Marie would scold us if we ate too much—'”

Best Friend: “—bacon!”

Boyfriend: “Yes! Next card: ‘The first true love of my life’.”

Me: “Your girlfriend!”

(The boyfriend and the best friend stare at me with the exact same look on their face.)

Best Friend: “Don’t be silly. It’s Princess Leia.”

Boyfriend: “Correct! Next card—”

Other Friend: “Time’s up! You scored pretty good!”

Me: “How is it that I couldn’t get any of the answers? You aimed all of your clues at [best friend]!”

Boyfriend: “Well, you know babe; he just gets me!”

Me: “Hmph!”

Boyfriend: “What is it?”

Me: “I’m beginning to think that ‘Princess Leia’ wasn’t the right answer…”
