It’s All Greek To Me

(At my school you have to take Latin. We have been translating a story about Aneas and Dido in which Dido falls in love with Aneas, but Aneas leaves her and she commits suicide. Aneas later goes to the underworld. I am just glancing at Latin and see Dido’s name.)

Me: “[Friend], he finds Dido!”

Friend: “Yeah, I saw that too.”

Me: *starting to tear up* “But he doesn’t know she killed herself! He’s going to find her and he’s going to find out! It’s so sad!”

Friend: “You are the definition of a ‘Greek geek.'”
