Ignorance Is A Disease

(I’m riding the bus in seventh grade when I overhear two sixth graders:)

Girl #1: “Did you know that it only took them 12 months to develop a cure for Ebola?”

Girl #2: “Well, that’s weird. Why don’t they have a cure for cancer yet?”

Girl #3: *in earnest* “That’s because Ebola is a virus, but cancer is a disease. Duh.”
