(We are signing yearbooks in my French IV class and my friend returns mine to me.)
Me: *reads what he wrote, it’s in all English, except for the final line* “…’C’est la ville?’ You know that that means ‘it’s the city’ right?”
Friend: “Does it…?”
Me: “How did you get into French IV again?”
(He meant “c’est la vie”/”it’s life.” I have never let him live this down.)
