Going To Need A Stronger Drink

(At our school, the teachers room has a coffee maker that can also make hot chocolate. I am currently a little sick.)

Me: “If my throat hurts, can I get some hot chocolate?”

Teacher: “Sorry, you can’t.”

Other Student: *jokingly* “What if my life hurts? Can I have some then?”

Teacher: *without looking up from her work* “If life hurts, you need to drink something other that hot chocolate.”
