Unfiltered Story #18546
A little boy that appears to be in Preschool or Kindergarten comes into my line with his mom. They buy 2 things of Lego’s & wrapping paper, which the boy wants to carry.
Boy: The Lego’s are for me and Nathan. He’s gonna have a birthday party. Will you be there?
Me: No, I don’t know Nathan.
Boy: Nathan is my best friend from school. It’s next weekend on Friday. (to mom) What’s the place called?
Mom: (name of local athletic club)
Boy: (to me) it’s at (local athletic club)
Don’t worry, I won’t be crashing the party. Having the little boy be excited enough to feel the need to share & invite me did put a smile on my face.
