You Are Inspirationally Bad

(I and a friend are practicing serves for badminton in gym. My friend hasn’t been doing so well on hitting the birdie, and eventually this exchange occurs.)

Friend: “I believe in the heart of the cards!”

Me: “There aren’t any cards here.”

Friend: “Then I believe in the heart of the racket!”

(He whiffs yet another serve.)

Me: *deadpan* “Your racket has arrhythmia.”
