Not Being Fourth Right

| Learning | April 27, 2015

(I have noticed that our assignment due date is different in two different places – one says “Wednesday 4th” and another says “Thursday 5th”. I decide to email my tutor to clarify when the assignment is actually due.)

Email: “I have noticed an inconsistency in the due date. Is it due on Wednesday 4th June or Thursday 5th?”

Reply: “It’s due on Thursday 4th”.

(Even more confused, I go and speak to him face to face.)

Me: “So is the assignment due on Wednesday or Thursday?”

Tutor: “It’s due on the 4th.”

Me: “So Wednesday the 4th?”

Tutor: “It’s due on the 4th.”

Me: “So it’s definitely not due on Thursday, it’s due on Wednesday?”

Tutor: “It’s due on the 4th.”

Me: “In your email you said Thursday…”

Tutor: “It’s due on the 4th.”

Me: “So it’s definitely on Wednesday the 4th, not Thursday the 5th?”

Tutor: “It’s due on the 4th.”

Me: “Okay, so the latest time I can turn in my assignment is Wednesday the 4th June, correct?”

Tutor: “It’s due on the 4th.”

(It was due on Thursday the 5th.)
