(I am teaching my students about art history, and we are looking at a sculpture of Apollo and Daphne. I am telling them the story of the myth so that they would have an understanding of the artwork.)
Me: “In the myth, the wood nymph, Daphne, gets turned into a tree rather than being kidnapped by the sun god, Apollo.”
Student: “Wow! Did that really happen?!”
Rest Of Class: *facepalm*
