We are having a discussion about a critic’s views on beauty. In particular, we’re discussing how a beautiful object may be unaware of its own beauty when the professor produces this gem.)

Professor: “It’s like my cat. I may think she’s like a work of art, and she is a work of art! She’s beautiful! But she doesn’t know she’s beautiful, which is why she sprawls out on the carpet and licks her anus.”

(Our professor pauses with an odd look on his face, while the class busts into laughter.)

Professor: “And this is why we shouldn’t have a class on a sugar high.”
