(We have a new student in our grade, and he is known to be really annoying and sometimes dumb. This took place between a friend and said new kid.)
Friend: [New Kid], since I wasn’t in English class today, can you tell me what happened?
New Kid: English? We had English today?
Friend: …
New Kid: Oh, English with Mr. [English Teacher]?
Friend: Yep, that’s the one. Can you tell me what I missed?
New Kid: I don’t know, I don’t pay attention.
Friend: …
New Kid: Do we have school tomorrow?
Friend: I don’t know for sure, but as far as I can recall, we usually have school on the day after Wednesday.
