Erin-eous Hearing

(My girlfriend Erin and I live with a couple friends. One of the friends is getting their learner’s permit, and I’m teaching her to drive.)

Roommate: “By the way, if you’re doing any errands in the near future, I’d be happy to drive you around.”

Me: “No problem. But I thought I heard you say ‘Doing any Erins’ for a second, and I was going to say, ‘That’s a bit personal, isn’t it?'”.

Roommate: “No, no, no! With a ‘D.'”

Me: “Well yes, that’s usually how it’s done…”
