Even Better Without The Con-Text

(Late at night, my brother gets a text message that is obviously not addressed to him.)

Text Message: “Hello, [Female Name], this is [Male Name]. I’m over with you, I’m glad we broke up, and you’ll never, ever hear of me again! Understood? You’re like dead for me!”

(My brother just shrugs it off and assumes he’ll never get any message from that man again. The following morning, he gets another text message from the same number.)

Text Message: “Hello, [Female Name], this is me again. Maybe we could just have a drink and a friendly talk together at [Place] one day. What do you think? I kind of miss you.”
