Don’t Need Some Body To Love

(I have just discovered that I have developed APD, or Autoimmune Progesterone Dermatitis: a condition that causes me to break out in severe hives over and over for a solid week before my period. I am texting a friend and explaining my newfound allergy.)

Me: “It’s not enough that I bleed every month and suffer debilitating cramps and nausea. Life decided that I need to be extremely itchy and look like I have leprosy for a good five to seven days as a prologue to the week of h*** I’m about to endure.”

Friend: “Basically… your body hates you.”

Me: “Pretty much.”
