Get Back To You On Getting Back At You
(My friend and I are in the school musical, and because of that, we often make jokes with our characters, even if they tend to be mean. Note that I’m a butler in the musical, and my friend is my boss. At the end of the musical, we get married, and that’s usually the subject of our jokes.)
Me: *jokingly* “I want a divorce.”
Friend: “You can’t divorce me. Nobody would want a monkey butler like you except for me.”
Me: *seriously* “It says something about your standards, doesn’t it?”
Friend: *shocked* “Umm… I’m thinking of a comeback.”
Me: “Well, stop thinking. Being pretty is the only thing you’re good for, anyway.”
Friend: *even more shocked* “…”
Me: “I’m waiting.”
Friend: “Hold on. Making comebacks isn’t easy, ya know.”
Me: “Yeah, unlike you.”
Friend: “That’s it. I’m done.” *marches off stage*
