(I’m absent for a day due to a cold. The next day, I go to school despite being unable to speak louder than a whisper due to said cold.)
Friend: “She can’t speak today because of her cold yesterday.”
Teacher: “Really?”
Me: *whispering* “Well, I can whisper, but no louder than that.”
Teacher: “Can you kiss [Notoriously Loud Classmate] and give him what you have?”
Classmate: “Hey!”
